The Name
I came up with the name Arion Hobby Horses because in Greek Mythology there is a horse called Arion who can gallop at the speed of sound and can gallop over any terrain including water!! He eats Gold and he is a son of Poseidon (Greek God of the Sea) and Demeter (Greek Goddess of the harvest).
I became interested in Greek Mythology and found out about Arion through a series of books called Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan who has written many brilliant book series, some on Greek Mythology, some on Roman Mythology, some on Egyptian Mythology and some a mix of both Greek and Roman Mythology in a fictional story.
Overview of Arion:
Where from: Greek Myths
Personality: Proud and confident
Special Power: Gallops at the speed of sound over land and sea (therefore creates a sonic boom when he starts galloping)
Parents: Father is Poseidon (Greek God of the sea) and Mother is Demeter (Greek Goddess of the harvest
Food: Imperial Gold Nuggets
